June 22nd: Michael Port Book Yourself Solid 15-Week Intensive

Have you taken the time to decide who your ideal client is? I just started participating in the most recent Michael Port “Book Yourself Solid” 15-Week Intensive series of teleseminars, which dirctly addresses that question. What a great opportunity! Michael is brilliant at what he does, and what he does is coach professionals on how to market their practices from a position of integrity with ease. Knowing who your ideal clients are is a great way to start. Then take the time and have the courage to review your current clients to see how close they are to your ideal client. If they are not in the same ball park, you might want to consider pruning back some of that dead wood to make room for work with clients you truly enjoy. For more information on the “Book Yourself Solid” program go to Michael’s website.

June 11th: Tim Batdorf

I made the time this afternoon to read “The Lawyer’s Guide to Being Human” from cover to cover, and I am SO glad that I did! It has taken me many years and thousands of hours of study to acquire the knowledge and wisdom that is contained in Mr. Batdorf’s little book. I want to thank Tim Batdorf for finally giving lawyers a simple primer on how to reclaim their humanity and, with it, the passion, fulfillment and joy that is possible in the practice of law but eludes so many lawyers. To learn more about Tim’s practice and to order a copy of his book go to Tim’s website.

May 22nd: Lucid Living Workshop

I attended a workshop conducted by Lucid Living on “Creation and Manifestation” last week.  The three-day event was the third Lucid Living workshop I have attended in the last six months.  The other two workshops were “Dynamic Emotions” and “Joyous Adulthood.” Each time I attend a Lucid Living event, I come away with a deeper understanding of my emotions and the importance of learning to work with my emotions and acknowledge their impact on my life.  I highly recommend Lucid Living training to anyone who wants to live a more balanced life and help others do the same. Their web site is www.lucidliving.net

May 15th: Fifth Annual CoachVille Conference

I just returned from the Fifth Annual CoachVille Conference in Chicago.  This was my third.  The quality of the information presented at these conferences is alway first rate.  This year was no exception.  Although there were fewer big name presenters than in the past, there was much more “hands on” experience available for people who were interested in developing their coaching skills through first hand experience.  CoachVille CEO Dave Buck introduced his new Coach Two Win system that uses sports terms to decribe the relationship between coaches and the people they coach and that talks about helping your clients to choose to play winnable games in work and in life and then coaching them to win at the games they choose.

For those of you who are not familiar with CoachVille and the training that it offers, I strongly recommend that you visit their website www.coachville.com and sign up for next year’s conference in Toronto.
